Are you playing faster than you can hear?

Fast fingers are handy. No doubt about that. And, they are fun. But too often students play as fast as their fingers (or their bows) can go at the expense of intonation. It is good to acknowledge that ears need to time to learn to hear fast, just as fingers need time to learn to play fast. Gentle reminder: don't speed through a hearing work zone.
