Have you seen an Olympic runner stamp their feet?

It makes about as much sense for a violinist to stamp their fingers into the fingerboard as it does for an Olympic runner to stamp their feet into the track. If you want your fingers to move quickly, look at the angle and pressure you put on them. Could your left hand win a gold medal?
